NEARPS ORB POLICY

 The Northeast Arkansas Paranormal Society being an organization that conducts paranormal investigations and regularly analyzes raw data searching for paranormal evidence has taken the following stance on the subject of a phenomenon known as “ORBS” :

No orbs of any type, regardless of method of capture, whether on still digital or on video, will be presented as paranormal evidence.  This also includes any phenomenon which could be labeled as: smoke, mist, fog, or any blob type anomaly which is normally caused by atmospheric conditions or caused by a malfunction in the camera itself.  These anomalies COULD be caused by too many natural means to be labeled paranormal.  We also do not use images found in mirrors or other reflective surfaces.  These are usually believed to be faces and are simply caused by a phenomenon that paranormal researchers call Matrixing.  This is where our minds pick out familiar looking objects from random light particles in a photo.

All newly inducted members into the NEARPS organization are required to agree in writing to abide by this policy, regardless of any personal feelings on the matter.
