Private Residence in Kennett, MO

The administration and staff at NEARPS, do not, nor have we ever, presented pictures of orbs as paranormal evidence. We feel that the subject is far too controversial to even consider. We may, in the future, post a page showing what the commonly photographed anomalies look like and give an explanation of what possibly caused it in the camera. Orbs will never be presented as paranormal on our website and we urge other serious paranormal groups to follow suit. ---NEARPS

This case was a private residence investigation in Kennett, MO. The clients have given their permission for this information to be posted.

We arrived around 7 PM and the client was gracious enough to show us around and show us some of the "hot spots" of activity. Most of the activity seemed limited to the front bedroom so we concentrated on this area by setting up a night vision camcorder and a digital voice recorder. We did not have an EMF detector at the time of this investigation so we did not have baselines for this residence. We went in periodically and made observations while doing EVP Q&A sessions. We kept a video camera and a voice recorder running in this room for the duration of the investigation. We did not want to miss anything at all. We went dark at 9 pm and ran until midnight. Nothing on video or still digital camera was the result. However, we did find these audio clips to present to the client:

To us this one sounded like some sort of chanting.

This is the same one as above but has been cleaned up and amplified.

This one kind of sounds like a baby crying to us.

This one is just a strange sound, maybe humming ?

Here you will hear an investigator referring to the strange people in the house (US) and asking any entities if they would like for them to leave. Immediately you will hear "Uh Huh"

Here you will hear a gasp as if someone is being startled. Then you will hear the door to the room open as an investigator enters. No one was in the room when the gasp was recorded.

Right before the end of this clip you will hear a strange sound. No one was in this room at the time.

*UPDATE* We have since gone back and done EMF sweeps to check for "false positive" anomalies that could create "fear cage" conditions. We found no unusually high EMF readings...

Besides the evidence listed here, we experienced some poltergeist like activity with canned goods tumbling out of the cupboard as if being pushed.

We also noted some shadow figures.

Unfortunately, none of this showed up on our recordings.

This residence does seem to exhibit some paranormal activity going on.
